A new Kickstarter campaign has been launched to help bring to life ‘On The Origin: Kanto Edition’, an unofficial guide to the designs behind the first generation of Pokémon.
The book aims to show the inspirations behind the first 151 Pokémon and will include a combination of bright and colourful art, with a comprehensive level of information on the myths and cultures which influenced the pocket monsters’ design.
As is usually the case with Kickstarter campaigns, there are a number of cool rewards on offer for those who decide to back the project. You can see all of these on the project’s page, which you can find here.
The project is almost halfway to reaching its goal of £15,000 as of writing and, assuming it reaches this by 9 September there are no unforeseen issues (such as copyright claims), it is intended that the book will make its way to backers sometime in December.
