Following a dispute between developer Ludosity and publisher Nicalis, Ittle Dew 2 is no longer available for download on the Switch eShop.
Ludosity CEO Joel Nystrom explained on Twitter that Nicalis removed the game from the eShop after Ludosity cancelled Nicalis’s license to publish it. The tweet has since been removed, however.
Can definitely confirm that Nicalis is a piece of shit publisher – after being surprised to find out (by looking in their email inbox) that we cancelled their license to publish 6 months ago, they first agreed to transfer the games over to us.

Joel went on to say that after being “ghosted” for a few weeks, Nicalis did not, in fact, transfer the games to Ludosity, but instead delisted the game from the eShop. Nicalis, however, claims that this step was required in order to transfer ownership on certain digital platforms. Regardless, Ittle Dew 2 has been released physically on Nintendo Switch, providing players with an alternate means of getting their hands on the game.
No word on whether the game will wind up back on the eShop anytime soon.
