One of Switch’s claims to fame is how welcoming it is to indie games as a platform, or as they’re affectionately referred to, Nindies. Recent news of continued indie success on Switch proves just how high the demand is for Nindies, particularly compared to their demand on other consoles.
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom preorders on Switch versus PlayStation 4 are ten to one, FDG Entertainment revealed in a tweet:
Monster Boy pre-order stats so far: #NintendoSwitch vs #PS4 is 10:1 (!!) @NintendoAmerica is dominating pre-orders by factor 10! :o #MonsterBoyGame #WonderBoy pic.twitter.com/O5Tqpc7v6Y

Outselling preorders on a powerhouse console like the PlayStation 4 is no small feat, but outselling ten to one is even more impressive.
FDG Entertainment also revealed in a tweet that three-month revenues on Switch for Blossom Tales: The Sleeping Kings have surpassed the game’s lifetime revenues on Steam twenty times over:
#NintendoSwitch community is a blessing! #BlossomTales is now a turnaround story: Humble indie dev @castlepixel can stay in business and continue making games. Love y’all! 3 months #Switch revenues surpass #Steam lifetime revenues 20 times! pic.twitter.com/GxO88Zor12

Danmaku Unlimited 3‘s developer is also celebrating success on Switch, announcing that the game’s Switch launch is, by far, the best launch of any console the game is available on:
It’s still very much in niche game territory but Danmaku Unlimited 3’s launch on the #NintendoSwitch is so far the best of any platform the game has been on! Thank you to everyone giving the game a shot :D #DanmakuUnlimited3 pic.twitter.com/OpWOIEtVzh

A year into its life cycle, Switch continues to demonstrate itself to be the destination for indie games. It’s going to be exciting witnessing more indie successes happen on Switch, and we’ll be following along closely!
