Zombie-oriented survival games have become especially popular among indie developers over the last few years, but you wouldn’t necessarily know that by looking at 3DS. However, one indie team experienced on 3DS, Wobbly Tooth, plans on changing that with its next title, Ice Station Z.
Though the game’s visuals are rather simplistic, the developer seems to be aiming for a much more ambitious experience once you delve into the meat of the game. Like many other entries in the sub-genre, Ice Station Z will feature an open world filled with zombies, weapons to defend yourself with, and resources to help keep yourself alive. What helps set this game apart, especially for a 3DS title, is the inclusion of numerous vehicles and both local and online multiplayer featuring both text and voice chat.
Whether or not Wobbly Tooth will be able to deliver on its vision remains to be seen, but thankfully we won’t have to wait too long to find out. Ice Station Z releases on 3DS eShop on November 3.
