While Halloween is on the 31st, the entire month of October pretty much feels like a Halloween celebration, and Nintendo is getting into the spooky spirit, too!
In honor of Splatoon 2’s Splatoween event, players can download four special masks for their inkling to sport: the Anglerfish Mask, Hockey Mask, Kyonshi Mask, and Li’l Devil Horns. In order to get access to the masks, you must be subscribed to the Squid Research Lab Report in the Nintendo Switch news section.
At the bottom of the post from October 5 titled, “Free download! Celebrate Splatoween with this spooky in-game gear,” click on the “Happy Splatoween” button (but make sure you’re connected to the internet and have downloaded the latest version of the game).
Pearl and Marina will then make a Splatoween announcement, and once they’re done you’ll find yourself standing in front of a package that contains all four masks. They’re each three-star pieces of clothing with three skill slots. The Anglerfish Mask’s skill is Ink Saver (Main); the Hockey Mask’s is Ink Recovery Up; the Kyonshi Mask’s is Ink Saver (Sub); and the Li’l Devil Horns’ skill is Run Speed Up.
