Hori has revealed its new Daemon x Machina Joy-Con controllers, and they’re pretty substantial.
Intended primarily for use with the Nintendo Switch in portable mode, the controllers’ size is meant to make the console easier and less tiring to hold. Additionally, the left Joy-Con has a d-pad, red joysticks, and the x button is stylized in the same way that the x appears in the game’s logo.

The L and R buttons are on the backs of these controllers, as opposed to on top, and the button assignments can be customized depending on the player’s preferred configuration. Autofire is also an option.
The Joy-Cons do not feature HD Rumble, NFC capabilities, gyros, or accelerometers, and they cannot be used unless they are attached directly onto the Switch.
Daemon x Machina releases on September 13 and the Joy-Cons are expected to release in Japan the same month for roughly USD $44.oo (4780 yen).
