Longtime fans of the Pokémon anime know the struggles of Brock all too well. Ever since the show’s earliest days, Brock has failed to find himself a girlfriend, despite his best efforts with Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny and just about every other female character from the franchise.
The latest episode of the Pokémon Sun and Moon anime, however, has finally given the poor guy some much needed hope. It seems that the Gym Leader has hit things off with Olivia, the Kahuna of Akala Island! Given that both trainers specialize in rock type Pokémon, it seems a match made in heaven!
Of course, things could certainly change. Fans were excited about the promise of a relationship between Ash and Serena in the Pokémon X and Y series, only to have those hopes dashed when the two went their separate ways. Time will tell if Brock and Olivia’s feelings will stand the test but, for now, it’s just nice to see the guy finally get a win.
