The flow of celebrated indie games coming to Nintendo’s latest console continues. Hand of Fate was released to positive reviews back in 2015 and its unique approach to the RPG genre garnered strong sales, enough to warrant a sequel released last year. Switch owners will have to continue looking elsewhere for the original game, but they will soon be able to experience Hand of Fate 2 on the console.
While a brief glance might suggest the series holds true to standard fantasy action-RPG ideas, the crux of the game is built around decks of cards that determine everything from what challenges your character faces to what gear he or she brings into combat. This gives the game an element of strategy and randomness as you try to craft the best decks for whatever challenges come your way. Of course, it’s also nice that both games were released to positive reviews.
The price for the Switch version hasn’t been revealed yet, however we do know it is coming out on July 17.
