Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz is back with yet more DLC characters for players to sink their teeth into. Beginning November 28, 2024, fans will be able to download Godzilla and Hatsune Miku as playable characters in the game. Take a look:
Both characters will be available individually at launch. When playing as Godzilla, bananas are transformed into trains, while Hatsune’s presence turns bananas into music notes. Along with these DLC characters, fans can also look forward to a free update on November 26, 2024, which will bring Banana Rumble up to version 2.00. In this update, a bunch of content will be added to the game, including:
- Super Punchy Ball: A new multiplayer mode where players can smash each other into the stratosphere using a gigantic boxing glove.
- Time Attack will see the introduction of a Banana Bonus option, which can be to toggled to make the collection of bananas shave time off of the clock.
- No Miss Challenge tasks players with completing Adventure Mode with only a single life.
- Super Speed is exactly what it sounds like—roll faster, try not to die!
- Monkey See allows players to experience the game from first-person perspective.
- Ultimate EX Challenge makes the game even harder for those really wanting to test their skills.
- Quick Retry means you can instantly take another crack at a stage.
SEGA is also promising that the game will receive a future update that will bring even more content and features to Banana Rumble. This includes the ability to finally be able to carry over save data from the demo into the full version of the game. This all sounds like very good news for fans of Banana Rumble.
