Jason Vorhees doesn’t have the best reputation on Nintendo consoles. Making his debut in LJN’s Friday the 13th on NES, Jason’s first Nintendo outing is regarded as one of the system’s more frustrating titles. This month, Camp Crystal Lake’s most infamous alumnus will get a chance at redemption when Friday the 13: Killer Puzzle arrives on Switch!
In Killer Puzzle, players take on the role of Jason as he’s tasked with gruesomely dispatching a number of campers, instructors and anyone else unfortunate enough to get in his way. The game reimagines multiple entries in the film franchise as isometric puzzle stages, in which Jason uses weapons such as chainsaws and his trademark machete to do his dirty work. Players can also unlock multiple skins for Jason, including a design based on the original NES game!
Developed by Blue Wizard Digital, the team behind Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle seems to take some inspiration from the well-received indie game. Players can see for themselves how well the two titles stack-up when Killer Puzzle arrives on Switch October 25.
