Indie developer Bonus Level Entertainment has announced they will be bringing their 16-bit inspired action platformer, Fox n Forests, to Nintendo Switch. Along with this announcement, they released a new trailer for the game:
As the trailer shows, the game draws significant inspiration from SNES platformers, with the developers specifying Super Ghouls n Ghosts and Actraiser 2 as examples. However, Fox n Forests looks like it will offer its own unique take on the genre as players assume control of a fox armed with a magical crossbow and the ability to change seasons at will. So, along with the usual running, jumping, combat, and exploration, each stage will feature two seasons that you can swap between. Interestingly enough, the game features some sort of fifth season.
While a specific release date has yet to be announced, the developer is planning to have the game ready for download sometime this Spring.
