Developer ThroughLine Games is bringing its cinematic adventure-platformer game, Forgotton Anne, to Nintendo Switch, with the help of publisher Square Enix.
The game is set in the Forgotten Lands, a magical place where everything lost and forgotten goes: old toys, letters, socks that are missing their match. Creatures composed of these objects, longing to be remembered again, inhabit these lands. Anne is an enforcer that maintains order in the Forgotten Lands, and she’s tasked with stamping out a rebellion that threatens to prevent herself and her master, Bonku, from returning to the human world.
It features a hand-drawn anime art style which is strongly influenced by Studio Ghibli, and an orchestral score which was performed by the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra. You can take a look at the game in action below:
The game was released earlier this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC to generally favorable reviews, and will launch on Nintendo Switch on November 9.
