During Masahiro Sakurai’s broadcast discussing the fifth DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate there were other surprises to be had beyond the reveal of Byleth. That’s right— aside of from the hero of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, there will also be five new Mii Fighter costumes coming to the game. You can watch the broadcast for the full unveiling:
So, what are the five costumes? Here’s the list along with the publisher from which the characters hail from:
- Studio MDHR
- Cuphead
- Capcom
- Mega Man X
- MegaMan.EXE
- Ubisoft
- Altair
- Rabbids
Cuphead is the headliner of this particular batch of new Mii Fighter threads. A Gunner-type brawler, the beloved nominal hero of Microsoft’s tough-as-nails shooter was a dark horse candidate of sorts for being a full-fledged DLC combatant. While being a Mii Fighter costume falls short, it’s still a markedly faithful representation of the character, as you can see. What’s more, Cuphead’s inclusion brings with him the music track Floral Fury, which was featured during the Cagney Carnation boss fight in that self-titled debut game.
All of this new content comes on 01.28 alongside the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Pass 2, which can be pre-purchased on that same day. So much at once! Are you thrilled? Let us know!
