Shockingly, it’s already been a year since the launch of the Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Nintendo is doing something pretty darn special to celebrate. Nippon Columbia is publishing a very special 5-disc soundtrack set.
There will be two versions of the set: the initial print run will include a three-sided slipcase, The Legend of Zelda Field Music Collection, and a Play Button — a pin badge that contains 15 full tracks from the soundtrack, which can be listened to by plugging in a pair of headphones. The regular edition contains the 5-disc soundtrack only.
The 5-disc set includes 211 tracks, as well as music and sound effects from the game’s DLC as bonus tracks. There are also a couple of extra tracks from the 2014 E3 trailer and 2017 Nintendo Switch Presentation Trailer.
Japan doesn’t have long to wait, as the soundtrack set releases April 25 for ¥7,000 (approximately USD $66). Unfortunately, this will be a Japan-only release, so if you want the soundtrack then you’ll have to import it. But something this special doesn’t come along all the time, especially from Nintendo.
Will you be importing this soundtrack set? What do you think of it?
