Fans have been waiting a very long time to see a numbered entry in the Final Fantasy series appear again on a Nintendo console. While Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD might not be exactly what fans have been looking for, it should deliver an enjoyable experience for franchise fans that may not have played the original on other consoles.
Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition first appeared as a mobile title earlier this year. The game boasts simpler, chibi graphics, but features the same story, voice acting and music as Final Fantasy XV, putting players in the role of Noctis and his comrades Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis as they attempt to save the world of Eos. The mobile version was broken down into ten chapters, though it’s unknown if the Switch version will be handled similarly.
Square Enix has not yet announced a released date for Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD, but it should be available soon! Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information as it develops!
