While the upcoming remake of Final Fantasy VII is probably the most anticipated release in the Final Fantasy fandom at the moment, an actual remaster for Final Fantasy VIII was an exciting surprise after Square Enix lost the original source code. Of course, it’s also nice that Switch will get a taste of this RPG adventure, too. Now, it’s looking like those who love to get physical copies of their games might have even more reason to be excited.
While multiple retailers have listed the game on their sites, it wasn’t until recently that one of them, Play-Asia, actually made it available for preorder. Of course, we still don’t have a release date and the full $59.99 price point seem questionable seeing how none of the other Final Fantasy remasters released recently have carried that full price. Then again, it does look like FF VIII has received a bit more work.
Stay tuned for more info about when you’ll finally be able to get your hand on this long awaited re-release.
