Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII and VIII Remastered will be released physically as a two-pack. The company broke the news on the Square Enix Asia Facebook page, stating, “For Asia, ‘FINAL FANTASY VII’ and ‘FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered’ are coming to Nintendo Switch in one physical package!”
So far, the physical edition has been confirmed only for Asia, and Play-Asia has preorders priced at $49.99. Interestingly, the twin pack’s announcement comes after Square Enix’s Japanese website and Play-Asia confirmed Final Fantasy VIII Remastered would be a digital-only release.
