Super Mario Maker already features a robust selection of baddies for players to place around their courses, but it seems there are even more hiding within the game’s code. More specifically, one enterprising data miner known as NWPlayer123 has found a file for the “angry sun” enemy from Super Mario Bros. 3 hidden in Super Mario Maker.
The find has prompted many to speculate that the enemy could be made available to players in the future as a piece of downloadable content, though that of course is unconfirmed at this time. It is also possible that the angry sun is simply a leftover file that wasn’t removed the game’s code, but we’d like to believe this discovery points to the former!
What do you think? Would you like to see the angry sun (or any other Mario enemy) released as add-on content, or would you rather see Nintendo release a more substantial piece of DLC for the game? Let us know in the comments!

Well this is interesting. I would rather see something similar to the Mario Kart 8 dlc kind of quality released. But still, that would be fun to add the angry sun to levels, right? That thing was a total pain in SMB3.
Doesn’t really surprise me, I guess. There’s a few other curious omissions (Boomerang Bros, the little jumping white nippers, etc); maybe they’ll be in there too?
