Developer HandyGames has announced it’s latest game, El Hijo, a spaghetti-western stealth game, which is coming to Switch, Playstaion 4, Xbox One and PC/Mac in 2019.
The game follows a 6 year old boy, El Hijo, on his quest to find his mother after the family is attacked by bandits and their farm razed to the ground. Your role as a small boy is reflected in the gameplay, which centres on non-violent stealth. Apparently, you will have to hide often but your skills will gradually expand naturally throughout the story.
The initial teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much actual gameplay, but it does do a great job of showing the art style and the tone that HandyGames is hoping to strike:
HandyGames has released more than 150 games since it formed 2000 and is part of THQ Nordic, so it has a fair amount of experience developing across almost all platforms, including Switch.
While a specific release date has yet to be given, El Hijo is expected to launch some time in 2019.
