During yesterday’s E3 Direct, Overcooked 2 got a big presence during a presentation focusing on a small number of games. The reason why is easy to understand. The first title proved to be a surprising success, winning a number of awards and accolades.
Team 17’s upcoming sequel will look to build on that success, with more of the same co-op craziness, both online and locally. Of course, Overcooked 2 will build on the formula established in the original game with new chef options, recipes, environments and more! The title will be available on platforms other than Switch, but a special Platypus chef is exclusive to Nintendo’s handheld hybrid! Players that pre-purchase the game can also receive a “Too Many Cooks Pack.”
Overcooked 2 will release physically and digitally August 7.
