While Nintendo’s E3 Direct presentation leaned hard on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the company kicked things off with metal music and a crazy looking new title called Daemon X Machina. In the title, players can fully customize an armored Arsenal mech suit in order to take on hordes of opponents on land or in air. Players can even swipe weapons from downed opponents and immediately equip them to change their strategy. The result looks quite a bit more fast-paced than the usual mech game!
The title’s development team features two veterans from the Armored Core franchise: Kenichiro Tsukuda and Shōji Kawamori. Tsukuda appears to be in charge of development, while Kawamori is working on concept designs alongside Yosuke Kozaki, better known for his work on the Fire Emblem franchise. Further details are slim at this time.
According to Nintendo, Daemon X Machina won’t release until 2019. Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information as it develops!
