Mario Party Superstars will be the second series installment on Switch (Super Mario Party being the first), but it’s looking to the past in order to move forward. That’s because Superstars will be bringing five boards and 100 minigames all pulled from the Nintendo 64 era, which is where the series started. You can give it all a look in this trailer:
Alongside the N64 content, there will also be GameCube minigames included, too. This time around, Nintendo won’t be making the same mistake of limiting Superstars’ online functionality as it did with Super Mario Party. Right from the outset, Superstars will allow friends to play through the boards themselves or engage in marathons of just the minigames. The fun begins on October 29, 2021.
