While not true for the entire genre, the main focus of many dating sims and romantic visual novels are boys and girls (and occasionally pigeons) attending high school. Dream Daddy definitely bucked that trend in many ways and managed to attract a substantial fan-base in the process. Soon, Switch owners will get to experience the game on their favorite hybrid console.
In Dream Daddy, you assume the role of a single dad looking for love from a diverse cast of other single dads. Aside from simply shifting the focus from heterosexual high schoolers to gay, middle aged parents, the game also features a colorful art style, a plethora of minigames, and the classic choice-driven/narrative-driven gameplay the genre is known for. In fact, this version even features new content including additional side quests and an extra minigame.
Dream Daddy launches on Switch on July 2 and will cost $14.99 on the eShop.
