As it currently exists, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is a love letter to its long-running and incredibly popular source material packed to the gills with content drawn from throughout the entire series. While this should already be enough to keep fans entertained for dozens of hours, there is actually about to be even more in the form of two upcoming expansions.
The first material announced is DLC called Extra Pack 1. The download will give players access to new characters (Dabura, Android 13, Buu after absorbing Gohan, and Tapion), 13 new special moves, five new quests, and it adds Zamasu as an instructor. Unfortunately, no release date was included with this announcement.
A free update to the game is also planned that will add a brand-new mode called Hero Coliseum. In this mode, players will collect figurines of many characters from the series and then pit them against opponents in something more reminiscent of a strategic board or card game. Battles play out in animated fight scenes and figurines can be leveled up and customized with new skills and perks. Once again, a release date was not announced, though Bandai Namco did release the following trailer:
