Dragon Ball FighterZ has been warmly received by everyone from gaming journalists to the average Joe on the street. Despite all that love, many a Switch owner looked on sourly as it seemed the game wouldn’t be coming to Nintendo’s latest console. Thankfully we all learned that Dragon Ball FighterZ would be hitting Switch, but after other platforms. Still, as mollifying as that news was, fans still didn’t know when the game would be arriving, but now that bit of information has finally been revealed: the game hits Switch on September 28!
I got to go hands-on with FighterZ on Switch at E3 and can report that it’s every bit as impressive on Switch as it is on other consoles. The fighting was intense and silky smooth, while the visuals were mesmerizing. Not to tick anyone off, but I personally don’t have any interest in Dragon Ball of any kind, so I went into my play session totally ignorant to anything beyond knowing who Goku is and that he goes Super… something… uh, he glows yellow! Ahem. Anyhow, even someone without an appreciation for the franchise like me can be impressed with how stunning FighterZ looks.
Hopefully those of you who have been pining for the game will be there to pick it up when it launches this fall. Are you anxious for FighterZ? Share with us in the comments!
