It’s MARIO Day, and to celebrate LEGO did a special broadcast revealing a couple of big upcoming projects. The first is Dry Bowser Castle Battle Expansion Set. This giant set has an MSRP of $109.99 and launches August 1, 2023. Here’s what the set looks like:
The set features the customary interactivity that the LEGO Super Mario brand is known for, with LEGO Mario, Luigi, and Peach able to interact with the various elements in the castle. For figurines, you’ll get Dry Bowser, a Purple Toad, a Magmaargh, a Bone Piranha Plant, and a Bone Goomba. LEGO Dry Bowser Castle boasts 1,321 LEGO elements, so it’ll be a nice, hearty build.
The arguably bigger reveal from today’s video was word that LEGO Donkey Kong is on the way. Take a look (it’s at the very end of the video if you want to skip ahead):
There’s no set launch date for DK but the release window is slated for this summer. Will there be full DK LEGO sets to go alongside the new figurine? We’ll just have to wait and see. Does any of this tempt you? Let us know down below and online!
