Neither Switch, nor Wii U, nor Wii before it featured an achievement system, which has been a point of annoyance for owners of these consoles who have enjoyed earning trophies and achievements (and bragging rights) on Nintendo’s competitors’ consoles.
Despite this, the Switch port of Disgaea 5 Complete features all of the trophies that were present in the PS4 version of the game, and even includes the accompanying pop-up notifications. The trophies are logged only by the game itself, not the Switch, and an NPC will keep track of your achievements throughout the game. The requirements for earning these trophies remains the same as those of the PS4 version, so it’s possible to use existing guides to help you finish the game with 100 percent completion. Handy!
Disgaea 5 Complete is out for Switch now. Would you like Nintendo to implement an achievement system on a future console? Will you be picking up Disgaea 5 Complete? Drop us a comment!
