This week, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu will arrive in theaters. To commemorate the occasion, Pokémon Go will hold a special in-game event. Players will see increased encounters with the stars of the film, including Jigglypuff, Bulbasaur and more. There’s even a special Pikachu wearing his trademark deerstalker hat! More details are contained in the trailer below!
In addition to the change in encounters, players will find special Raid Battles and Field Research. Using the photo mode might even prompt a photo bomb by the diminutive detective! There are no further details at this time, but players won’t have to wait long for things to kick off. The event begins tomorrow and runs through May 17.
