What a hilarious, topsy-turvy journey it’s taken to confirm that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is coming to Switch. Let’s get the primary question on everyone’s mind out of the way first: it drops April 2. Also, there’s the choice to buy either a digital or physical copy of the game for $29.99. Cool stuff, because Darksiders is an excellent, Zelda-like adventure game.
All right, now for the funniness. It was already known that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition was coming to Switch… because THQ Nordic had accidentally uploaded the launch trailer prior to the official reveal! In a hilarious move, what seemed to be an accidental upload of the trailer (which you can peep above) was replaced by a GIF of Leslie Nielsen’s Frank Drebin of The Naked Gun fame telling everyone to “please disperse.”
Flash forward to now and the trailer is live and the game is unquestionably coming to Switch. Which is good news, as it went woefully under-appreciated on Wii U.
