The Pokémon games have been fascinating fans since 1996. While the world of the games has greatly grown and expanded over the last two decades, the original region is still an area that manages to captivate gamers from around the world. Fitting then, that a group of fans plan to travel to the real-life inspiration for the area as part of a documentary called Cycle Across Kanto!

The documentary is currently looking for donations via Kickstarter. According to Gravity Dog Productions, the 40 day trip has been fully planned out, and the team has a lot of prior experience in creating documentary films. According to the team, the goal of the project is to teach fans about the cultures that helped bring the original Pokémon games to life, in order to educate fans and bring the fan community some new perspective.

It will be interesting to see how the project comes together. The Pokémon franchise has a devout fanbase, and this certainly seems like the kind of project that could generate a lot of interest. Stay tuned to Nintendojo for more information as it develops!
