Remember CrossCode? The action RPG with a retro aesthetic was revealed during the January 2019 Nintendo Indie Highlight presentation and has been off the radar ever since. The crowdfunded game has already launched on Steam, which has fans even more anxious for it to arrive on console. Well, the game has finally been confirmed for its launch on the console and it is very soon: July 9! Here’s the announcement Tweet via publisher Dangen Entertainment:
7月9日、待望の #CrossCode が #Switch、#PS4、#XboxOne に登場!さあ、お気に入りのゲーム機を準備して、賞を勝ち取ったこのアクションRPGの発売を待とう!https://t.co/KzzhRP83GG pic.twitter.com/K49LgUaXlg

One might note that this is a Tweet for the Japanese eShop, but take heart: a listing on the Microsoft Store affirms that the game should be launching on that date here in the west, although Nintendo’s website still says TBD as of this writing. Will it change? We’ll keep everyone updated! In the meantime, physical cartridge fans will likely be pleased to learn that the game will also be offered at retail brick and mortar stores, but it has not been confirmed whether or not this version of CrossCode will arrive on the same day, particularly with the impact of the global quarantine still being felt. We’ll leave you with a shot of the packaging (thanks to Gematsu) and you can let us know down below or on social media what your purchasing plans are!
