We loved what we got to play of Cosmic Defenders at E3 2019, so it was with a lot of enthusiasm that we awaited the launch of the game this month. Sadly, publisher Natsume has had to delay the release of Cosmic Defenders owing to the pandemic currently afflicting the world. Here’s what Natsume had to say about the situation:
Greeting Earthlings!
While we were excited to previously announce a release date and additional information for our upcoming Natsume Indies title, we have an update to share today. But first, some new screenshots for you to enjoy, including the first boss stage we’re revealing!
Due to the general slowdown and unique situation we all our experiencing during the current health crisis, Cosmic Defenders will not be releasing this April. We know this will disappoint fans, as it disappoints us. We appreciate your patience while we await a new release date.
Take a gander at a couple of new screens that Natsume shared with this update:
It’s disappointing, certainly, but Natsume has made it clear that it’s only a matter of time before we’re all rotating around planetoids and blowing stuff up. Give our impressions a look at this link and head over to Natsume’s site (link below) for further details. We’ll update once we hear what the new release date for Cosmic Defenders is!
