Since the first title appeared on Wiiware, the Bit.Trip Runner franchise has been closely associated with Nintendo platforms. Today, developer Choice Provisions officially announced Runner3, the third title in the franchise. We’ve embedded the game’s teaser trailer below!
Charles Martinet, best known as the voice of Mario, will reprise his previous role. Other than that, Choice Provisions has not provided many details regarding Runner3, including platform, as of this time. According to the developer, the game will incorporate a significant amount of fan feedback. Throughout the development process, fans will have opportunities to participate in polls to name levels, decide on unlockable character skins and more.
In all likelihood, fans should expect the title to appear on NX. With the NX’s official debut still pending, it would seem that some developers have been hesitant to confirm games for the console until Nintendo’s announcement. With September winding down, an October debut certainly seems very possible. Perhaps then we’ll know a bit more about Runner3!
