While the system was beloved by many, an unfortunately small number of GameCube titles have gotten a second chance on other systems. Sure, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Metroid Prime have seen life elsewhere, but those are more the exception than the rule. Soon, one of the system’s earliest releases will once more see the light of day when Cel Damage HD comes to Switch!
Released on GameCube in early 2002, Cel Damage is a vehicular combat game in which cartoon-inspired combatants battle it out in a fictionalized television series. The title features 10 different racers competing in three different modes: deathmatch, racing and capture-the-flag. The festivities take place across 13 different arenas and there are more than 30 different weapons to choose from.
Cel Damage certainly didn’t achieve the same critical acclaim of the GameCube’s best, but it was a fairly enjoyable title, particularly when played with a group of friends. You can find out for yourself later this week; Cel Damage HD will be available March 28 for $9.99.
