Cave Story has become an indie classic and its popularity has caused it to pop up on just about every system on the market, with the most recent version releasing for Nintendo Switch in the form of Cave Story+. This new take on the classic includes numerous changes over the original game including remastered, higher-res visuals. However, for those who prefer the more traditional visuals of the earlier versions, a free update next month will give players the option to switch the aesthetic at will.
Publisher Nicalis announced the coming changes with the following Tweet that includes some of the retro graphics in action.
