Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was one of the premier releases on Wii U. It offered beautifully detailed puzzle worlds for the titular toad to bumble his way through. Bereft of the ability to jump, the game offered a more sedate take on the typical Mushroom Kingdom brand of platforming that fans are used to. Thankfully, for those who missed the game on Wii U, they’ll now have the chance to experience it on both Switch and 3DS!
Captain Toad on Switch and 3DS will also come with new stages pulled from the Kingdoms of Super Mario Odyssey. The game is anticipated to launch on July 14.
And so, the Wii U loses another exclusive. How long until 3D World, XCX, and Pikmin 3 are on Switch?
To be clear, I’m not complaining. The Switch the superior system and I think Captain Toad would be perfect on the go. I just see less and less reason to turn on my Wii U these days.
I hear ya Toadlord. I love my favorite Wii U games being ported over to Switch. But each release brings my Wii U closer to retirement.
When they release “Devils Third DX” for Switch, the Wii U is heading to storage! Just kidding.
