While revealing its financial results for the last year, Capcom reported that its games on Switch have been selling particularly well.
Monster Hunter XX “performed strongly”, while Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers was a “smash hit”. Meanwhile, the company indicated in a follow-up Q&A session that Resident Evil Revelations had sold 500,000 copies overall, with 250,000 of those sales being the Switch version of the game (figures were not available for Resident Evil Revelations 2).
In general, while Capcom saw net sales decrease by around 10%, its operating income increased 7,009 million in total (up 36.9% year on year).
While Nintendo’s own games have always done particularly well on its consoles, it is reassuring to hear that third parties are also seeing success on Switch as well.
