This year’s Tokyo Game Show may reveal some interesting Ace Attorney news, as recent findings connected to the show suggest that Capcom will be holding a 40 minute Ace Attorney panel there on September 22.

The event is being described as an “unmissable” experience, and is expected to feature series producer Motohide Eshiro and game designer Shinsuke Kodama. This is exciting news as, since 2016’s release of Spirit of Justice on 3DS, activity on the Ace Attorney front has been quiet, though rumors have been circulating that Capcom has actually been working on the next installment.

Back in November of last year, the company confirmed it would develop Switch titles, specifically mentioning the Ace Attorney series, and Kotaku UK reported that Capcom’s plans include releasing a bundle of past Ace Attorney games, split into two collections. At the time, it was expected that they would release sometime between April and October of this year, and the first collection would contain games 1-3 while the second collection would contain games 4-6. Apparently a new game featuring Phoenix Wright as the lead was to follow.

It still remains to be seen whether any of this will happen, but perhaps this special TGS panel will shed more light on Capcom’s plans.

What info would you like to see come out of the Ace Attorney panel at TGS? Start a conversation below.
