Boxed Versions of Pokémon Gold and Silver for 3DS Come with Cool Stuff

Both Japan and Europe will be receiving some fantastic boxed versions of Pokémon Gold and Silver that are making us very hopeful that they’ll be brought to North America, as well.

The boxes are made up to look like the games’ original Game Boy Color boxes, though unlike HeartGold and SoulSilver, there will be no physical copy of the game. Inside the boxes you will find a download code, a “manual” with stickers inside, a magnet that looks like the original Game Boy Color Gold and Silver cartridges, and a poster with the Gen 2 Pokémon.

These fantastic boxed versions will retail for 1500 yen each. Pokémon Gold and Silver will release on Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console on September 22. No word on whether these boxed versions will be released in North America.
