Bandai Namco should need no introduction to Nintendo fans. Besides an array of Pac-Man games appearing on Nintendo consoles over the years, the company’s arguably biggest contribution to the Big N over the years has been helping to develop Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. That’s not the only collaboration between Bandai Namco and Nintendo, of course, and it would seem that the former is poised to make an even larger commitment to the latter in the coming years with this announcement:

This news was picked up by Source Gaming, which made the above post that connects to Bandai Namco’s Japanese website for Studio 2 and Studio S. Although Source says the studio is “specifically to work on Nintendo games,” it seems that the outfit will handle commissions of all kinds for Bandai Namco, not just Nintendo ones. However, that’s not to say there won’t be a ton of Nintendo games being worked on at Studio 2 and Studio S, as the relationship between Bandai Namco and Nintendo has been very constant over the years. From the Mario Kart series to ARMS, the companies have been tight—and apparently plan to continue to be moving into the future.
