Inti Creates’ delightful Azure Striker Gunvolt series has been chugging along since 2014 when the first entry launched as an eShop title on Nintendo 3DS. Since then we’ve gotten two more series installments as well as a couple of spinoffs. The games, which draw some inspiration from Inti Creates’ time working on Capcom’s Mega Man Zero series, have a strong following and thus it’s not too surprising to hear that Inti Creates is taking the first three installments and combining them into a single package with Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced for Nintendo Switch.
This compilation will hit Switch starting July 24, 2025 and contains the first three Gunvolt games and all DLC. It will also boast updated music, polished gameplay, and other enhancements that combine to make this the definitive version of these games. If you have yet to try Gunvolt this might be the perfect time, as they’re some of the best 2D shooter/platformer games of the past decade.
