It’s the end of an era, folks. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which launched on mobile back in 2017, is being sunsetted. The service will come to a close on November 28, 2024 at 3 PM PST. Here’s the announcement, which was made via the official Pocket Camp X account:

While this is certainly disappointing for those who have been playing the game for the past seven years, there is a bit of a bright spot. Nintendo says that an offline version of the game is going to be made available, which they will give more details about in October. However, it does kind of stink that players who have likely spent quite a bit of money on Pocket Camp will have to fork over more in order to continue on once the service shuts down—this version of the game must be paid for.

Regardless, we’ll keep you up to date on Pocket Camp as we learn more about its offline future.
