While gamers are no doubt excited to get the chance to play as all 74 characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, one can’t help but feel somewhat intimidated at the prospect of having to unlock all of them. Thankfully, from the sounds of things, filling out your roster will actually be a relatively quick and easy process.
A spokesperson from Nintendo recently confirmed that while there are different requirements that need to be met to unlock each character, the process for getting all of them should only take a few hours. Of course they haven’t shared what those requirements will be yet.
However, there was a bit of bad news for Final Fantasy fans, as it seems despite Cloud’s return as a playable character, the amount of content from the series might be limited. So far it only looks like two songs from Final Fantasy VII are included, the normal and boss battle themes, and the game’s biggest new feature, the equippable spirits, feature no references to any Final Fantasy game.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases for Switch on December 7.
