It might now seem hard to believe, but it used to be that every major video game release saw a strategy guide released alongside it. In fact, many games received strategy guides published not only by the game’s publisher, but independent companies, as well! The internet has changed all that, and strategy guides have become a much less common thing. This holiday season, however, Prima Games will release a trio of special edition strategy guides based on Nintendo’s biggest games.
Prima Games has announced that strategy guides for Xenoblade Chronicles X, Star Fox Zero and The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will be available in the next few months. In addition to a standard edition, each strategy guide will also be available in a hardcover special edition, which will include a screen cleaner. The Tri Force Heroes special edition also appears to match Prima’s other special edition Zelda hardcovers, so completists will likely be eager to add it to their collections!
