Though 8BitDo’s new Lite controller is styled after the Switch Lite, it’s missing two conspicuous details: the analog sticks. In order to make the controller more portable, it has two D-Pads instead.
Despite the lack of analog sticks and its thin profile, the controller retains all of the functionality of a full-sized controller. And, unlike the Switch Lite, the D-Pad on the Lite controller will not replace the four-button array on the left side of the controller.
The controllers connect via USB-C cable or Bluetooth and feature a programmable turbo function. They also feature a switch at the top that swaps between Switch and Xbox connectivity, and they can be used on PC, MacOS, Android, and more.
Each controller will be $25 and ship out on October 30. Do you plan on grabbing one when it launches?
