One thing that’s tricky about budgeting for new consoles is that, even if you’ve got enough in the bank for the system itself, that doesn’t cover the cost of getting a new game to go along with it. Thankfully, Nintendo seems to have that in mind, as the company has announced a fresh hardware bundle coming February 15 that hopes to put a little jingle back into your pockets if you decide to buy a brand-new Switch. The inelegantly dubbed Nintendo Switch + $35 Nintendo eShop Credit Download Code bundle will be hitting stands that day and, well, it does exactly what its name states!
That’s right, buy the bundle and you’ll receive a digital code for $35 to use in the eShop! That’s not a small chunk of change, either, as there are a ton of games available for purchase that are less than $35. The exception being digital versions of retail games, but even in that case there are sales, not to mention that $35 effectively more than halves the asking price for most of them. The bundle will sell for $299.99 when it hits shelves.
