So guys. I played Pokemon Blue back in middle school loved it and the card game. I played a bit of silver and ruby and just couldn’t get into it. However, between smugleaf meme, “black man loves pokemon” hit on youtube & screamo covers of the pokemon cartoon song this virally made its way into my mind. I decided to pick it up on sunday. I’m loving it. Its feels like a nice step forward from the last I played Ruby. However I do still find it too slow and grindy. But despite this I’m playing a couple hours a day and really liking it. Apparently I suck at it now cause I’m about to get the 3rd badge and almost 10 hours in.

The graphics are kinda cool. It looks like old psx Jrpgs sprites and 3d background takes me back to Xenogears/ Breath of Fire 4 etc.

Overall this is a nice swansong to my DSi. It’ll definitely keep me happy until 3DS. I’m glad James also noticed that the camera angles could play on 3D. Though I wouldn’t mind if someone chryogenically froze me for 2 1/2 weeks like that time I got the wii and accidentally rewrote history. I think that was me right?
