Wii U Showcased at Consumer Electronics Show
Nintendo’s latest console, yet to be released, was shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show out in Las Vegas on Tuesday. With the showcasing came a good handful of new rumors and new features of the Wii U that were not made available to the public beforehand. One of the features is that the Wii U will indeed be compatible with the Wii remote, a huge relief for those who don’t want to shell extra money to get two different touchscreen controllers.
The biggest piece of information more has to do with the big touchscreen controller of the Wii U. For those worrying about shelling out money for a controller separate from the console, you can breathe easy. There will be a controller bundled with the console. The controller will also have its own sensor bar built in and can work with the Wii remotes themselves.
The price for the new Wii U is still unknown, but it looks as if Wii U will be coming out at the very least after E3 in June.

Club Nintendo Adds Digital Games For Its Rewards Program
Long rumored but finally revealed, Club Nintendo has added digital games as a part of its rather fantastic rewards program. As of right now, there are only four games featured but at the price that they’re going for, it’s definitely worth a look see. The games are as followed:
- Dr. Mario Online RX (WiiWare, 100 coins)
- The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (Wii Virtual Console, 150 coins)
- Kirby’s Dream Land (3DS eShop, 100 coins)
- Dr. Mario Express (3DS eShop, 150 coins)
So for those of you who have some extra coins to spend at Club Nintendo, go on ahead and get it done! And for those of you without a membership, join up and register all your games and systems as soon as possible. Let me just say that the coins add up very quickly. There are also plenty of other loot and prizes that are available if you either already have those games or don’t wanna spend the coin on them.

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D Date Set
In what is probably one of the more anticipated games for 3DS, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D has officially set a date of release in the US. The franchise, which started on Nintendo but has jumped to other consoles, returns to Nintendo in this 3D experience. The date of release will be on February 21, 2012 and will be compatible with the latest extension of the 3DS — the Circle Pad Pro.
For those who aren’t sure what the Circle Pad Pro is, it’s a little addition in which you place your 3DS in a little contraption, not unlike what you’d place your Wii remote in for the tablet or the sports equipment things, and to the right, it contains a second circle pad. This is ideal for the first person shooter games on the handheld, since it helps give a clearer shot on whatever targets you want to shoot at.
