‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the day, we could think of nothing but the games there were to play! It’s often been said that the spirit of Christmas is in giving, but we all know the real joy of the holiday comes from unwrapping a brand new video game on Christmas morning. This year’s list of releases in particular was a strong one; from Bayonetta 2 and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to Super Smash Bros. and Bravely Default, Nintendo fans were treated to wealth of great new titles in 2014, any of which would make a wonderful gift to find beneath the Christmas tree.

Most of those on the poll, I already have. I was hoping for Smash Bros for my birthday last month, but no go. Christmas is always a second chance for party poopers. Throw in Capt. Toad, and you can consider this year CLOSED!
