Amiibo, however, continue to be doing well worldwide.

While the Amiibo craze dominated game and toy stores across the world last year, it seems the UK is cooling down on the toys-to-life figures. A new report reveals that while 2015 was the concept’s biggest year in terms of sales, the first four months of 2016 delivered a 12 percent decrease in revenue. A closer analysis reveals that constant, big discounts for Skylanders figures may be the cause, but it’s especially disappointing given the relative newness of the Lego Dimensions brand, which wasn’t present at this time last year.

Sales of Amiibo themselves may not be slowing down, however, as Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima commented just last month on the growing success of the brand worldwide.
